Southwest Vacation Feb23 - Joshua Tree NP
Hidden Valley

Our last hike of the day was Hidden Valley.  But as we approached we could see snow clouds moving in.  But it was strange.  It would be overcast one minute and clear blue skies the next.

Parking lot at the Hidden Valley trailhead.

The Hidden Valley Trail is a one-mile loop trail.

The trail begins.  It goes through a narrow gap in the rocks to the hidden valley beyond.

Through the rocks.

Into the valley.

Rustlers supposedly hid their stolen herds here.

The trail follows the outer edge of the valley.

Lynnette is huddled up in the snow flurries.

The snow flurries made the entire hike surreal.

We approached this wall of rocks.  I've never seen anything like it.

A better look at the wall of rocks.

The hidden valley was a real gem.

I think this was my favorite spot in Joshua Tree National Park.
